Applications opening soon for Council’s 2022 Apprenticeship and Traineeship Program
Gladstone Regional Council will soon be accepting applications for a diverse range of roles available through its 2022 Apprenticeships and Traineeship Program.
The successful program has 24 roles available across a variety of business units and locations including Agnes Water, Benaraby, Calliope and Gladstone.
Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett said the program supports roles such as plumbing, water, construction, events, admin, ICT (Information and Communications Technology), finance, governance and more.
“Applications will open on Wednesday 1 September and close on Friday 17 September with further information available via Council’s website,” Councillor Burnett said.
“There is a variety of opportunities available for people of all ages that will provide on-the-job training and support to develop employability skills, knowledge and experience.
“Our training opportunities consist of a mix of hands on practical work learning from experienced leaders and classroom education in the vocational area to develop theoretical knowledge.
“Council offers excellent training and development programs that aim to nurture talent and drive our ongoing success.”
Positions available for our 2022 intake include:
- Apprentice Nursery Gardener
- Apprentice Botanic Gardener
- Apprentice Heavy Vehicle Plant Mechanic
- Apprentice Plumber (located in Agnes Water/Seventeen Seventy)
- Business Administration Trainees Civil Construction Trainee
- Conservation and Land Management Trainee
- Finance Trainee Governance Trainee
- Process Operator Trainees (one position available in Agnes Water/Seventeen Seventy)
- Theatre Technician Trainee Waste Management Trainee.
