Photographs and memorabilia from local families and materials from the RSL Queensland and Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum will be on display. 17 Mar - 3 May 2025
On 25th April, each year we pay respect to our Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, not just our first ANZACs from 1915, but all who have served Australia and New Zealand in conflicts since the First World War.
Our annual ANZAC exhibition focuses on our newly conserved Roll of Honour Town of Gladstone and Shire of Calliope: The Great War 1914-1919, housed at Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum. As part of the project a virtual Roll of Honour was created, allowing users to easily access the service history of those listed.
Also on display are a selection of items from WWI on loan from Jimmy Harris, sourced by local historian Paulette Flint, and from the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum permanent collection. This project was funded under the Commonwealth Government’s Saluting Their Service Commemorative Grants Program.
