Australia Day is the day to reflect on what it means to be Australian, to celebrate contemporary Australia and to acknowledge and respect our history.   

To honor these values, a day of family-friendly activities is planned for the whole community to enjoy – with sunscreen, hats and sun-safe shirts set to be the popular attire!   

GPC’s East Shores Parklands serve as the perfect space for live music, Aussie-themed activities, games and free face painting! Don’t forget the free sausage sizzle and delicious food vendors that will be onsite.  
 
Aussie games and activities include: 

• Tug of war 
• Sack races 
• Egg and spoon races 
• Lamington eating competitions 
• Footy throw 
• Dunny roll toss 
• 3 legged races and more! 
   

We will also celebrate the winners of this year's Gladstone Regional Art Gallery and Museum’s, Celebrate Australia Primary School Art Competition!
