Work will occur to connect utilities/services to the constructed Bonsai House in Gladstone Tondoon Botanic Gardens.
This will enable the Bonsai House to be functional, to be a space for the community to enjoy.
Bonsai House Utility Upgrade works have been included in Council’s 2023/24 Capital Works program. - Commencing

Works will involve:
- Removal and replacement of some panels and pavers in the existing area.
- Installation of a new water pipeline from Glenlyon Road to the facility.
- Drainage and irrigation system installation.
- Electrical and communication connections to the Bonsai House and storage shed.
- New concrete slab in area.
- Painting.
- Storage shed construction.
- Provision of tables for bonsai display.
- New garden beds, grass and mulch in areas.
The Tondoon Botanic Gardens Bonsai House Utility Services project is proudly funded by the Queensland Government’s Works for Queensland funding 2021-24 in association with Gladstone Regional Council.
