Vehicle access to the Joey Lees beach and lower sections of the headland is no longer permitted.
This closure is necessary to enable rehabilitation of eroded sections of the Joey Lees headland to protect the natural values of the coastal headland communities. - Commencing

It is hoped that through the completion of the rehabilitation works the natural integrity of the headland will be reinstated and continue to enhance natural visitor experiences.
A new three-bay car park has been provided on the top of the headland for day visitors. Existing pedestrian access to the beach and lower sections of the headland are maintained.
