Description of service
The Pyjama Foundation recruits, screens and trains community volunteers to facilitate the "Love of Learning Program" with foster children in the Gladstone Region. The trained volunteers are called Pyjama Angels and they visit their own special foster child in the child's home, one on one, for 1 hour each week. We hope to improve the literacy and numeracy skills of these children over time as well as provide them with an adult mentor who can help them to succeed.
