Description of service
The 1770 Festival is an annual event held on or close to 23 & 24 May, the dates which Lt James Cook anchored and came ashore in the Town of 1770, in the year 1770, Queensland's first landing.
The festival includes a great family focused list of events - a street parade, workshops, indigenous performances, food stalls, retail stalls, live entertainment throughout the day and nights, fireworks display, Re-enactment of the Landing, Fun Run, Vanilla Slice War, the Great Family Fun Adventure and much more.
