- Location
- Donohue Drive to Skate Park on Springs Road, Agnes Water
- Description of Works
-
The link between Donohue Drive and Springs Road has been identified as a valuable connection for the community.
A dirt track has linked these two roads to the nearby Skate Park community facility but its condition has deteriorated, limiting accessibility for members of the community.
Work to construct a 2m wide concrete footpath started in late January and is expected to be completed by late March, weather and site conditions permitting.
This project supports Council’s Pedestrian and Cycle Strategy, providing cyclists and pedestrians with a safe and dedicated pathway, reducing the need to share the roadway with motorists.
- Commencing
- Late January 2025
- Completion
- Monday 31 March 2025
-
The new footpath will connect Donohue Drive to the Community Facility (Skate Park) on Springs Road. This new footpath will link to the existing paths on all three sides and include kerb ramps to ensure safe access for cyclists and wheelchair users.
During construction, the road shoulder on Donohue Drive, in front of the Agnes Water State School, and the dirt track linking Donohue Drive and Springs Road will be fenced off for public safety.
Efforts will be made to minimise disruptions during peak school hour drop-off and pick-up times.
