Expressions of interest are now closed for eligible Primary Producers to apply for the Gladstone Region Drought Appeal funding. Applications closed Wednesday 12 August 2020 (extended from 31 July).
Gladstone Regional Council held the Gladstone Region Drought Appeal from November 2019-February 2020 to raise funds to support the Gladstone Region’s Primary Producers impacted by drought. The total funds raised by the appeal was $40,000, $32,000 from Council and Gladstone Industry and another $8,000 donated by the Gladstone Salvation Army.
Expressions of interest are now closed for eligible Primary Producers to apply for the Gladstone Region Drought Appeal funding.
The criteria for Primary Producer eligibility included:
- An individual, partnership, trust or company operating a primary production business in plant or animal cultivation; fishing or pearling; tree farming or felling.
- Have an Australian Business Number and have held the ABN during the time of drought
- Have experienced financial impact from drought conditions
- Primary production occurs in the Gladstone Local Government Area
The Grant amount is yet to be determined, with a figure to be determined based on the number of expressions of interest received by eligible primary producers.
Expressions of interest were to be submitted using the online form or by emailing the PDF version to info@gladstone.qld.gov.au by close of business on 12 August 2020 (extended from 31 July). The form could also be completed at the Roadshow events listed below.
The Salvation Army will be undertaking the application and grant allocation process and have committed to a schedule to connect with Primary Producers across the region.
Following the expression of interest process, applicants must attend one of the scheduled events to receive funding.
The expression of interest application must be completed to receive funding and applicants must bring proof to support their eligibility.
